Vogue Africa – What Could Have Been

Cameroon native and fashion photographer Mario Epanya had a dream to bring a high fashion editorial to his homeland. Epanya went the extra mile to make this dream a reality, creating elaborate mock covers in an attempt to convince publisher Condé Nast that Vogue Africa was a must. Despite his brilliant efforts, this vision was turned down. Epanya responded, via his facebook page “DEAR ALL. The Wait is over. Condé Nast said NO to an African license of VOGUE. So this is the last cover. Enjoy, but it’s a beginning of something,” We couldn’t agree more.
