All we ever see are bad pictures of Courtney Love. Apparently, after Googling herself, Love took notice of all the unflattering photos and decided to counteract her bad public image with a new blog, What Courtney Wore Today. The name says it all. It’s a blog of pictures chronicling what Courtney Love wears each day.

But there’s clearly a flaw in the plan. Just scrolling through a recent page of posts, four out of the nine pictures are of Love in the same Celine dress and Manolo Blahnik Mary Janes on one particular day, July 21. It must have been a stellar day, I guess. But it seems pretty redundant to me. And not all of the pictures are flattering. Which could be a result of Love’s “social experiment” gone awry. After all, it’s not Love doing the posting, but three co-bloggers (L, T and X) only two of which Love knows. Blogger X is a mystery to the former grunge rocker.

What is cool are the back-in-the-day photos of Love with musicians like Gwen Stefani, Michael Stipe and Dave Navarro. Even more interesting is that in the photos of Stefani and Love, it’s Love who looks more glamorous and put together. Which, as we all know, is not the case today. All part of Love’s positive press campaign, I suppose. But you’ve got to hand it to the girl, allowing three people access to your archive of personal pictures requires balls. Especially when you’ve got so many skeletons in your closet. But, then again, Courtney Love’s never been lacking in that department. After all, this is the woman who burned free clothes sent to her by Marc Jacobs. Among other things.
