Check out the first trailer for the latest in the series of old school super hero revival movies – “The Green Hornet.” Not only does this trailer give the movie a look that is, as one commenter on YouTube pointed out, “‘Iran Man’ meets ‘Kick Ass.’”  its director, Michel Gondry, has given it a mild, but distinctive, French flair that we fashion addicts will surely be obsessed with as this film makes its way into contemporary pop-culture.

While this is definitely a Seth Rogan movie, and thus not particularly ladened with couture frocks and the latest from Jimmy Choo, there is something about the dapper, understated black suits, bowler hats and eye masks that Rogan and Jay Chou as Kato strut their super-heroes-pretending-to-be-villains stuff in that makes a girl want to dress like a Margritte painting.  Given the current hat obsession, I won’t be at all surprised if bowler hats start popping up everywhere this fall.
