I love Etsy. It’s a great place to get ideas, refresh a stale fashion outlook, and find unique fashion elements on any budget. I’ll be regularly featuring my favorite Etsy finds and this week, to embrace a fashion basic that just won’t go out of style, it’s all about leather.

Leather and handbags go together like bread and butter (although recycled and repurposed materials are gaining in popularity) and this little cutie will bring a happy pop of color and texture to almost any casual wardrobe this summer. You can’t have summer without sandals, and this pair of Chocolate Brown Maori Sandals is a great way to embrace the current gladiator trend and be uber comfortable while you do it. Available from TreadLightGear for $75.

Give a t-shirt and jeans an instant upgrade or disguise a bad hair day with this suede leather hat with leather trim. It has frayed edges and a slouchy shape for an artsy-urban vibe. Get it from Tolduso for $26.

We can’t talk about leather without mentioning the iconic leather jacket. It was hard to choose just one but I ultimately went with this Vintage Black Leather Cafe Racer Jacket because I love its slimming lines, ‘don’t mess with me’ attitude, and the fact that its made up almost entirely of salvaged and recycled materials.
